EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE

It takes a little extra to turn ordinary into extraordinary.

The project

These are portraits and stories of people who look ordinary from the outside — and the lives underneath that prove otherwise.

[EXTRA]ORDINARY PEOPLE is a portrait and documentary project built around one idea: the person you pass without noticing is usually carrying something worth knowing. Grief. Reinvention. A second chance. A friendship that outlived everything it should have. We photograph and film these people as they are, not as a version of themselves built for a camera.

Support

Every story shared here helps fund what comes next.

This project also raises money for young artists and kids from under-resourced families who want to make something with their lives.

Seventy percent of the profit generated is directed toward scholarships and grants for nominated young individuals.

"We are not giving young people a dream. They already have one. We are helping remove the barriers standing between them and the opportunity to pursue it."

What we believe

Being seen can change a life

A portrait can be more than a beautiful image. A story can remind someone that their life matters.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.

Many talented young people never receive the education or support needed to pursue their gifts.

Stories should lead to action

Awareness matters. Meaningful support matters more. We move people from watching to participating.

The people photographed here aren't a cause. They're the reason the project exists.

New stories, when they're ready. Nothing else.
